6.5 hours at Chaddy…

[Post being migrated from LiveJournal]

Last minute Christmas shopping @ Chaddy – quite an experience!

It was kind of an impulse-type activity…

The alternative would have been to stay at home

For the first time this year (and hopefully the only occurence for a year fast reaching it’s end), here I was on a Friday night – AT HOME. Sitting at the computer after dinner, it made me realise just how used I had become to being out on a Friday night, being a part of FOCUS and the music team…

Was feeling kinda restless… and in need of socialising…

So, with my Aunt having stayed for dinner, all the wheels started turning in motion…

One can partition my time spent at Chaddy into two parts:

  1. Time with Aunt
  2. Time on my own
  3. Time with friends

The first was a good way to spend time with a favourite Aunt… learning about what would make suitable future Christmas/birthday presents. We saw this huge stock pot… still reeling from the price tag… $520 AUD! No way I could afford that… even for myself! That pot alone could buy an entire set of pots/cookware…

O_o

There was about an hour (just after midnight) where I did a bit of shopping… bought this squeezy cushion type object… it can be used as a neck support… I chose the red ‘cos it goes well with our green beanbag…

A good story to tell was when I was with friends. The group of seven of us were in Target… us guys helping the girls find some of their desired products/presents… us guys were following the girls, when we got distracted by these kids boxer shorts… the design was by Marvel Comics… here we were, a group of guys in our early 20s contemplating whether we’d fit into a pair of kids’ size boxer shorts… the design included ALL the action figures! Then there was this King Kong design… and the joke was that the design simply had a drawing of King Kong with the word “Kong” printed in bold lettering… Of course, Daniel , in our group is a Kong! LOL….

’tis the eve before Christmas… under an hour before family arrives, dining room not ready, so I’ve gotta fly…

MERRY CHRISTMAS for 2005!

Hmm… that could be turned into the lyrics for some song…

Note to self – get a dictaphone!!!
