In this latest update to XBOP, you will notice that the Home Page now features a carousel slider which showcases featured articles and writing serials. This new functionality is thanks to the Slider CC Pro, developed by Chop-Chop. This showcase will become a permanent addition to the home page and be refreshed periodically to reflect the various content themes that I feel are relevant.
As part of introducing the functionality, during the testing and previewing of the various options, my attempt to reuse existing images highlighted the need to create consistency with the dimensions of each image selected. So, as part of rolling this feature out, one action taken was to create brand new images that are reusable between the slider and also present well on each post/page.
During the week I have tweaked the schedule again so that it has more flexibility. The thrice weekly updates are therefore targeted at:
- Monday – Tuesday
- Thursday – Friday
- Saturday – Sunday
Whilst you can see each window remains tied to the original release day, I have added an extra day so that if I need the additional time, it still makes sense. The Monday – Tuesday slot is also going to alternate between the Lego series and latest Worship content, whereas every week for Thursday – Friday will remain constant and tied to the Memory Verse series. Saturday – Sunday becomes an available slot for more timely and up-to-date topics, such as this one.
